- Its starts to be a tradition to have
world-renowned naturalists and marine biologists
Ned & Anna DeLoach the entire month of September
at Buddy Dive Resort. Bonaire’s premium
(dive) resort continues to educate and entertain its
guests in a very special way.
“Like the previous years Ned & Anna will educate our
guest by conducting seminars, lectures, guided dives
and other excursions and we are proud of having them
for the third consecutive year at Buddy Dive this
coming September” says General Manager Jan Willem ‘t
Hooft.
As co-writer of the Reef Coral-ID, Reef Fish-ID
and Reef Creatures-ID books, Ned is well known
and respected within the marine sciences
establishment, dive world and far beyond. For more
than two decades Ned has been publishing marine life
identification books.
Anna
joined forces with her husband to study and document
marine life species around the world. As a very
talented photographer and videographer she
produced several educational DVD’s that examines
the relationship of marine animals and their
environment.
During their stay at Buddy Ned & Anna will give you
insight in Bonaire’s marine life, fish behavior
and share funny and educational stories
on their experiences and knowledge on the mating
rituals of the underwater world.
The week of September 10 is likely the most active
period in the spawning season with its
heights on the 13th
and 14th.
On those days Ned & Anna will give a special
presentation that will let you understand, discover
and enjoy the spawning wonders.

• Twice
per week Ned & Anna will join you on an
afternoon boat dive and point out those wonders,
critters and coral you normally don’t notice
yourself;
• The so
called “delivery room of the waters around Bonaire”
the mangroves are an unique eco-system that hides
juvenile’s fish, jellyfish, sponges and many other
fascinating creatures. Every week Ned & Anna
take you on a guided mangrove snorkel tour to
a - for many unknown - habitat on Bonaire;
• Species
that you won’t see during a day dive will show up
when making an adventurous night boat dive.
Once a week Ned & Anna will be there to point
out those specific things to pay attention to when
being under water at night;
• Through
all their travel and research over the years Ned &
Anna collected an enormous collection of pictures
and knowledge. An educational, informative and
impressive lecture gives you the background
information on all the things you have experienced
and seen while being in the water with Ned & Anna.

• Having a
personally autographed Fish-ID book by Ned is
very special and rare, but every Friday at the
start of the Managers Rum Punch Party Ned will
be there to give that personal touch to your book
purchase;
